Paul McCartney's music publishing company needed more than just a facelift. As one of the largest independent music publishing companies in the world, MPL represents a great wealth of new and classic music. Along with Paul McCartney's deal with Starbucks' label Hear, and the newly minted agreement with Apple and iTunes, the company was ready to reinvent itself. A new, innovative website was the perfect start.

In concert with design firm Tovero+Marks, we rebuilt the site form the ground up. The goal was to create a powerful resource geared toward music professionals.

The end result is a website that's deceptively simple to use. The elegant facade hides a powerful search engine that, along with the custom-built music player, makes the selection, preview and llicensing of MPL's music an enjoyable experience. Other parts of the website are dedicated to news, new music and professional catalog samplers.

In all cases, Linear Design built and implemented every aspect of the website, from Flash animations to streaming content delivery, to integration with MPL's corporate data systems.
